DEFINITION:
Serves as the educational leader of an elementary school and oversees the operations of an assigned school according to the established philosophy, policies, goals and priorities of the Board of Education; ensures that the school environment is conducive to academic excellence, social development, and student well-being; the Principal will work collaboratively with staff, students, parents and the community to foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing educational environment that supports increased student learning and improved state indicator metrics.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
EXPERIENCE:
Five (5) years of outstanding certificated experience in a K-12 setting
Three (3) years of administrative experience in a K-12 setting
Have a proven ability to perform at a high level of competence in positions of leadership and responsibility
Bilingual/Bi-literate preferred
EDUCATION:
Master’s degree from an accredited university
Valid California teaching credential
Valid California K-12 Administrative Credential
EL authorization or equivalent
