The Kennett Consolidated School District is seeking an innovative, student-centered, and collaborative educational leader to serve as High School Principal. The successful candidate will provide visionary leadership for all aspects of the high school’s operation, fostering a positive school culture focused on academic excellence, student growth, staff development, and community engagement.
The High School Principal is responsible for the overall administration of the school, including supervision and evaluation of personnel, curriculum and instructional leadership, student and staff scheduling, budget management, student discipline and attendance, facility oversight, and collaboration with students, families, staff, and community stakeholders
Candidates must possess:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited institution, doctorate preferred..
- Pennsylvania Principal Certification (K-12 or 7-12) required or the ability to obtain
- Minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience.
- Five (5) years of successful administrative experience
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, families, and community members.
- Ability to analyze data, solve complex problems, and make sound decisions.
- Experience using technology to support educational and operational goals.
- Familiarity with diverse cultures and the ability to communicate effectively with students and members of diverse communities.
- Experience leading school improvement initiatives and collaborative professional learning.
