About Atlanta Youth Academy
Atlanta Youth Academy (AYA) is a private, Christian day school in Atlanta, Georgia, serving students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8. Founded in 1997, AYA exists to provide children from underserved urban communities with access to an excellent, Christ-centered education that prepares them academically, spiritually, and socially for long-term success.
Grounded in Christian faith, AYA combines rigorous academics with a nurturing, relationship-driven environment. Small class sizes, committed educators, and strong family partnerships ensure that every student is known, challenged, and supported. Through a mission-driven tuition model and significant philanthropic support, AYA ensures that family income is never a barrier to enrollment, allowing the school to focus fully on student growth, character formation, and achievement.
Position Overview
Atlanta Youth Academy seeks a mission-driven, relational, and instructional leader to serve as its next Dean of Academy, the school’s principal-level academic leader. Reporting to the President and serving as a key member of the senior leadership team, the Dean provides visionary and operational leadership for all academic programs from Pre-K through Grade 8.
This is an opportunity to lead during an important period of institutional growth and professionalization. The Dean will shape academic strategy, strengthen instructional systems, mentor faculty, and ensure that AYA’s Christ-centered mission is realized consistently across curriculum, teaching practice, and student culture. The role is ideal for a servant leader who brings both clarity and compassion to academic leadership and is eager to make a lasting impact in a mission-driven school community.
