Position Overview:
The High School Principal plays a crucial role in shaping the future of Martin County High School, overseeing instruction, operations, faculty development, and student engagement. This leader will cultivate a positive school culture, drive high academic standards, and maintain strong partnerships with students, families, and the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and inspire staff, ensuring excellence in teaching, learning, and student support.
Oversee curriculum development, ensuring alignment with state standards and best practices.
Develop and manage the school budget, optimizing resources for student success.
Strengthen relationships between the school and parents, businesses, and community organizations.
Maintain a safe and welcoming school environment while upholding high standards for student behavior.
Support and expand college and career readiness programs, preparing students for future success.
Act as an essential personnel member during emergency activations and school crisis management.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or related field.
Valid Florida Certification in Educational Leadership and School Principal/Professional School Principal.
Minimum seven (7) years of experience, including at least five (5) in teaching and two (2) as a school site administrator.
Proven ability to foster high academic achievement, leadership, and professional development.
Strong skills in budget management, staff supervision, and stakeholder communication.
