Hackley School seeks an experienced, collaborative, and inspiring leader to serve as our next Director of Middle School. Reporting to the Head of School and serving on the senior administrative team, the Director of Middle School will oversee all aspects of the division, leading a community of approximately 250 students and 45 faculty members in grades 5–8.

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of a confident leadership style with a genuine care for the experiences of students, faculty and families.

We are looking for a leader who:

• Loves working with Middle School students and faculty and appreciates all the joys and challenges of working with this age group.
• Is well organized, detail oriented and able to manage the complex rhythms of middle school life.
• Listens deeply to all stakeholders, while also making timely, well-considered decisions.
• Holds themselves and students, families and faculty accountable to Hackley’s shared values and expectations in ways that foster growth, responsibility and respect.
• Has experience with setting high expectations for student performance through building a culture of relational warmth and support.
