Certificated Candidates
• Minimum of five years of supervisory, personnel administration, public administration, or other administrative
and supervisory related activities.
• Clear California Administrative Services Credential
• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in educational leadership or related field of
study.
• Experience as a school principal (preferred) with five years teaching experience (preferred)
• Training in Labor & Contract law or related legal training or experience
• Desire for second language proficiency in Spanish or other language to match community needs.
• Excellent communication skills and evidence of effective interaction with community, staff, parents and
students.
• Demonstrated achievement as an educational leader with vision and strong interpersonal skills, including
specific evidence of student academic improvement in a school setting as a result of the candidate’s leadership
• Certificate from ACSA Personnel Training Academy or willingness to attend ACSA Personnel Training
Academy
• SHRM or SPHR Professional certification a plus.
Classified Candidates
Any combination equivalent to:
• Bachelor’s Degree in human resources administration, public administration or related field from an
accredited institution.
• Master’s degree in human resources, public administration or related field, preferred.
• Five years of responsible personnel experience, including two years of experience in a management or
supervisory capacity at a public school.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and knowledge/experience in increasingly responsible roles.
• Training or experience with employee-employer relations, including bargaining table experience.

• Certificate from ACSA Personnel Training Academy or willingness to attend ACSA Personnel Training
