This position comes with a competitive compensation package, family health and dental insurance, full tuition reimbursement, and basic life insurance coverage of up to two times the individual's annual base salary, capped at a maximum of $500,000.
Glenbrook High School District 225 seeks a dynamic educational professional to serve as the next Associate Principal for Teaching and Learning for Glenbrook North High School.
Glenbrook North High School offers public education to 2,025 students, primarily from the village of Northbrook. In addition, the school has approximately 205 certified staff and administrators and 159 support staff. The Glenbrooks consistently rank among the nation's top-performing high schools for students and one of the top places to work for staff. The Associate Principal for Teaching and Learning must be an ethical and innovative leader with the ability to resolve conflict and the ability to collaborate with the Principal to supervise and professionally support all staff members. The Associate Principal is responsible for all areas of the school pertaining to curriculum, classroom instruction, teacher supervision, and professional development.
Applicants should hold the following education/experience qualifications:
Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or related field.
Professional Educator License with a General Administration or Principal endorsement.
Minimum of three (3) years experience in an instructional leadership position in a High School setting.
Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience.
Principal Evaluator Designation (required).
Teacher Evaluator Designation or ability to obtain it before starting employment.
Staff Development Experience (preferred).
Current knowledge pertaining to best practices in business and operations, and curriculum and instruction.
Ability to work positively and productively with adults and high school-age students.
Ability to present and produce documents at a high level of sophistication.
Ability to make rational decisions, problem-solve, and effectuate change.
Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with a wide range of staff members.
Knowledgeable in planning, organizing, and directing the educational assessment services of the District; the laws and regulations, codes, policies, and procedures relating to testing, assessment, and evaluation; the current and emerging educational research as well as best practice and multiple measures of student achievement.
Must possess knowledge of the state and federal laws related to curriculum, instruction, and assessment as well as English Learners and Special Education.
