Overview: Saint Pius X Catholic School is seeking a faithful, experienced, and highly skilled school principal to lead our pre-kindergarten through eighth-grade parochial elementary school beginning in the academic school year 2025-2026.
Founded in September 1957, staffed by Three Benedictine Sisters from Cullman, Alabama, Saint Pius X Catholic School opened its doors to pupils in grades kindergarten through fifth. In 1958, a sixth grade was added, and in 1959, five Sisters of Mercy of Limerick, Ireland, came to replace the Benedictine Sisters who were called back to Cullman. In August of 1960, two more Sisters arrived, and grades seven and eight were added. In 1993, the Sisters of Mercy were recalled to Ireland after 43 years of teaching at Saint Pius X Catholic School. Dedicated lay teachers now serve the parish school of 100 students. Today, the school seeks to position itself for growth by refining and emphasizing our unique strengths and leveraging opportunities created by the recently passed CHOOSE Act.
