SMMUSD is seeking an experienced leader and innovative biliterate/bilingual educator to be Principal at Edison Language Academy – a dual language immersion elementary school. Located in Santa Monica, Edison serves 394 TK-5 students all who learn in Spanish and English with the goals of developing proficiency in both languages, mastering curriculum in all other areas, and becoming socio-culturally proud of their own identities and cultures and respectful of others. In a warm and diverse community, focused on the whole child, Edison teachers use best practices to advance student learning. The ideal candidate will lead the dual immersion program, cultivating an inclusive environment where data-driven instruction, social justice standards, project-based and social-emotional learning are fun
