RETIREE BENEFITS: Administrators who are at least 55 years of age, have been employed by the District for a minimum of 10 years, and who elect to retire early from employment, shall be eligible to continue District-paid health benefits for the retiree and eligible dependents until the age of 65 or until they become eligible for Medicare, whichever occurs first.

Primary Function:
Acts as assistant to the Principal in his various administrative functions.
Directly Responsible to:
Principal
Immediate Subordinates:
Assigned certificated and classified staff. Assigned Responsibilities: • Assumes administrative control of school in absence of the Principal. • Assists the Principal in establishing and executing school policy, in making the master schedule of classes, and in preparing the master schedule of school events. • Exercises general supervision of student conduct on campus and in other activities subject to the authority of the school. • Confers with parents and/or students in matters regarding student welfare and the good order and discipline of students as referred by counselors and teachers. • Approves and executes student suspensions and withdrawals from school, and submits notifications of same to the District Superintendent. • Is responsible for reports of eligibility of students participating in authorized activities as representatives of the school and for reports of students placed under academic probation as defined in Section 8.1 of the Administrative Code. • Is responsible for the general supervision of student attendance and related activities, and shall investigate attendance problems in pursuing enforcement of State and local regulations, and the issuance and review of work permits. • Is responsible for the administration of extra-curricular activities in accordance with the District and school policies, assigns supervisory personnel, and attends to related details, • Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Applicable credentials: Secondary or General Administration. • Training and experience: A Master’s degree in an appropriate field is highly desirable to be supplemented by five (5) years of experience as a teacher or administrator at the appropriate level or equivalent.
