First Baptist Academy, serving students infant through eighth grade, is seeking a Full-Time Substitute for the 2022-2023 school year. The Full-Time Substitute will support FBA’s vision, mission, and strategic goals with students and parents in the grade level. This position reports to the Lower and Middle School Principals.

Key Responsibilities
- Teach lesson plans and manage workstations as described in the lesson plans.
- Grade student assignments and tests
- Establish and maintain order in the classroom using positive reinforcement behavior management techniques.
- Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance.
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, materials, equipment, and facilities.
- Work closely with grade level team members, specialist teachers, administrators, office staff, and other colleagues
- Build positive rapport with parents.
- Attend meetings at the request of administration.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Authentic Christian character and a desire to work in a Christian environment.
- Prior teaching experience or a bachelor’s degree in a relatable field is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Highly organized and thoughtful in approach
- Open to new ideas and collaborative
- Self-confident, flexible, and open to feedback
- Facilitator and team builder
