**Remote position**
The National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Membership to lead and execute a data-driven growth strategy for NASSP membership and our student leadership programs, including the National Honor Society, National Junior Honor Society, National Elementary Honor Society and National Student Council. The Director of Membership will lead a team charged with growing NASSP membership and expanding our student leadership programs through savvy and effective acquisition and retention campaigns.The ideal candidate is data-driven, results-oriented, and thrives in a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This person should possess a deep knowledge of K-12 schools, be passionate about education, and excited about working to transform education through school leadership. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
**Remote Position**
Recruitment and Retention
Develop and execute a data-driven strategy for member acquisition and retention.
Establish measurable and attainable goals for membership growth and retention.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop acquisition and retention campaigns.
Ensure alignment with NASSP core values and strategic objectives.
Reporting and Analysis
Analyze member data and trends to identify potential areas for risk and improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new reports and optimize existing reports.
Provide weekly top-line reports and analysis for Managing Director of Growth Strategy.
Develop monthly membership reports to the executive team.
Generate quarterly membership reports for the Board of Directors.
State Association Coordination
Build and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with state associations.
Identify opportunities for collaboration on joint recruitment and retention strategies.
Host regular membership meetings for state association staff, including space for feedback, training and meaningful collaboration.
Track and analyze state association membership fees, benefits, and affiliation agreements.
Management
Recruit, coach, and develop membership team members towards achieving organizational strategic goals and personal professional goals.
Build and manage an annual budget that supports the membership strategy and operations.
Lead and manage membership operations, including management of external vendors (e.g., mail vendors, insurance providers, etc.).
Oversee procurement of additional member benefits.
**Remote Position**
Experience
6+ years of experience in membership management, business development, school leadership, or a related field.
Hands-on experience growing membership and strengthening member retention or extensive experience with NASSP membership and/or NASSP student leadership programs preferred.
Demonstrated experience collecting, analyzing and leveraging data to inform strategy development and decision making.
Utilizes data to set goals and/or meet key performance indicators
Demonstrated experience developing and managing comprehensive budgets.
Commitment to building and supporting a positive team culture and working environment.
Experience with association management software (AMS) or learning management systems (LMS) preferred.
Bachelor's degree required.
Former school leadership or principal experience is preferred.
