Franklin Elementary School is a dual language immersion school, supporting instruction in French, German, Italian, and Spanish. The principal should have experience in dual-language immersion instruction. The Principal, Franklin Elementary School, is directly responsible for instructional leadership, academic program success, and the administration, management, and operation of the school. Must have experience working with an ethnically diverse population of families. Applicants must be committed to leading a collaborative school-based management setting. Proficiency in a second-language, especially the school’s target languages is desired.
Credential
Valid California credential authorizing service as a site administrator.
Experience
Proven record of at least five years of successful teaching experience, preferably at the elementary level. Must have a thorough understanding of elementary school educational concepts, and teaching and learning strategies for elementary school students. Understanding and/or involvement with fiscal and budget planning experience is desirable.
