First Baptist Academy, serving students infant through eighth grade, seeks an after-school care program director for bridge kindergarten-eighth grades. The after-school care program at FBA is called Encore. This is a full-time position from 10:30 am until 6:30 p.m. beginning with teacher in-service a week before the first day of school through the last day of school. Holidays are consistent with the school calendar. This position reports to the Lower and Middle School Principals.

Key responsibilities include:
Recruit, interview, and hire Encore teachers and completing all steps involved in the process (submitting background check and payroll forms to business office, scheduling CPR, as needed)
Train and supervise Encore teachers
Create grade level rotation schedules to include homework, snacks, Lawn/playground/gym free-play time, and other locations such as library and classrooms
Oversee supervision of students
Manage Encore Brightwheel Account
Coordinate extra-curricular programs by communicating with vendors
Communicate with School Nurse
Administrative duties as outlined, and other duties as assigned
Facilitate interdepartmental communication for all FBA activities happening after school dismisses
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution preferred
Prior experience with children working in a day camp, daycare, or school environment
Self-confident, flexible and open to feedback
Facilitator and team builder
Highly organized and thoughtful in approach
Open to new ideas and collaborative
Able to multi-task, and recognize priorities
Excellent communication skills both oral and written
