The Rutland City Public Schools seek an experienced and caring educator to provide leadership for the Rutland Middle School. Rutland Middle School serves 300 students in a Grade 7-8 comprehensive middle school program. The RMS faculty is focused on project and community-based instruction and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support within a collaborative culture. Applicants must demonstrate an impressive work ethic, strong interpersonal and communication skills, solid educational and experiential preparation, a thorough understanding of current research on teaching and learning in a standards-based environment, a sense of humor, and proven experience in motivating colleagues, as well as students to maximize their potential. The successful candidate will possess the skill and talent needed to engage the Rutland Middle School community of students, parents, and stakeholders. We are seeking an experienced leader to join our district’s strong and collegial leadership team.
Licensure, or eligibility for the same, as a Vermont Principal is required. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
