Welcome to the Ukiah Unified School District. Thank you for your interest in joining the Ukiah Unified family! Our District is located in an active, supportive community serving approximately 7,000 PK-adult students in six elementary schools, two middle schools, a comprehensive high school, a continuation high school, an independent study school and an Adult school. Ukiah Unified serves students from four communities and is located 110 miles north of San Francisco and 43 miles east of the beautiful Mendocino Coast. The city is the county seat and regional service center for a rural county. The community is diverse, down to earth, and friendly. The District has enjoyed stable leadership for the last ten years and strong employer-employee relations. Our students have access to two magnet school programs, a broad course of study including strong Career Technical Education programs, and a multitude of extracurricular activities both within the District and in the community at large. Ukiah is a great place for families and we hope you will consider joining our team.
The Principal is the instructional leader at the High School who promotes a climate and culture in which great teaching and Twenty-First Century learning flourishes. The Principal sets high expectations and inspires his/her staff to believe that everyone in the school can learn and ensures that teachers and students act on that belief. The Principal establishes and sets priorities for the Assistant Principals and other administrators of the school to function as a highly effective team.
