Natomas Unified School District is seeking a Principal for Natomas Park Elementary School. Natomas Park Elementary is a PK-5 school serving approximately 800 diverse Natomas Unified students with engaging academics, high levels of parent participation, and a focus on AVID instructional methods. Natomas Park Elementary’s instructional model provides many opportunities for students to work together and be actively engaged in their learning.

We are seeking a professional educator who is knowledgeable about systems for student intervention and support both academically and socially for all students, including those who are English Learners, in Special Education, or in Gifted and Talented Education. Experience with AVID strategies, Restorative Justice practices, Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports, and Trauma Informed Practices is highly desirable. Position Start Date: This position is scheduled to start on July 1, 2023. However, this position has the option to start earlier depending on the selected applicant’s availability.
Experience and Training Guidelines: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities could qualify someone for this position. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience: Five years of responsible teaching experience, including two years of administrative and supervisory responsibility.
Training: Equivalent to a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in education, education administration, social work or a related field.
License or Certificate: Valid California Administrative Services Credential issued by the State of California.

- Restorative Justice practices
- Trauma Informed practices
- Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
