Position Description
The Lower School Principal provides leadership for Preschool through 6th grade. The Principal serves as a community leader, fostering a climate of well-being and engagement of students, faculty and staff within the Academy. The Principal serves as an instructional leader, enhancing curriculum and teaching to foster strong student achievement. The Principal serves as a role model, reflecting the Catholic and Sacred Hearts identity of the Academy and embodying the creative and forward-thinking direction of the school.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience
Minimum of 3 years of teacher leadership or academic management experience
Experience managing/coordinating accreditation processes and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a principal in a K – 12 school
Experience in a Catholic school environment
Educational or professional focus on learning differences or special education
Knowledge of best practices in girl-focused education
Knowledge of current trends in curriculum and assessment, learning theories, and other issues at the forefront of education.
