POSITION SUMMARY
The Junior High Principal is responsible for keeping the Head of School completely and continuously informed as to the condition of the student body and activities therein. As a member of the schools administrative team, he/she will lead in the overall goal setting and implementation of the vision, strategies and mission of King's Schools, and maintain programs that are "in favor with God and man" by keeping abreast of future societal and educational trends and needs, and by evaluating all school activities, programs, policies and philosophies by scripture. The successful candidate will demonstrate ability to foster a positive academic and student life climate where students are challenged to honor God, their school, their parents and themselves.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

DUTIES
Leads all elements of the Junior High School including student life, discipline, facilities, and safety
Works closely with the Principal of Academics to ensure strong academics and extracurricular programs at the Junior High.
Works closely with the Principal of Academics:
Evaluation, hiring, and retention of faculty.
Scheduling
Academic Standards
Works with Campus Pastor to implement Chapels, retreats, service learning, and discipleship programs.
Leads all faculty meetings and devotions
Holds teachers accountable for attendance and contribution at necessary school/student life events.
Counsels with students and staff regarding their discipline problems, referring to and consulting with the Head of School on specific incidents.
Enacts and enforces student discipline so that any student discipline is effectuated in a timely and consistent manner.
Writes letters and confers with parents of students having discipline problems.
Oversees detention
Works with CRISTA facilities to oversee maintenance and upkeep of all HS facilities
Direct all student and faculty activities, such as assemblies, testing program, faculty meetings and teacher and student orientation sessions.
Assist the principal of academics with student and staff recognition.
Leads and directs the Athletic Director, expecting coaches and students to conduct a well?rounded, extra-curricular experience which is "Christian" in every dimension. Oversight of King’s Athletics includes:
Supervises the student activity programs of King’s Junior High.
Team with ASB officers and ASB Advisor(s) weekly for planning and evaluation.
Oversee all student programs, activities, banquets, dances, etc.
Meet monthly with Spiritual Life Committee for oversight of Chapel and Small Groups.
Oversee the selection and training of Link Crew leaders.
Conduct leadership training activities as needed.
Oversees and manages office staff
Lead and implements new student induction program in coordination with LINK crew
Supervises extracurricular programs
Serves on the A- team and B-Team of King’s Schools.
Works with Head of School to calculate and implement capital budgets for all programs
Oversees all school safety drills and emergency preparation
Works with CRISTA security and implements any needed measures
Personal conduct that reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and supports our personal conduct policy
Perform all duties consistent with the CRISTA Ministries Mission Statement
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitors, leads, and directs the activities of the teachers, staff, and volunteers.

EDUCATION
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent. Relevant work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
EXPERIENCE
Two years of successful classroom teaching at the secondary level
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION
Washington State or ACSI Principal’s credential or complete within two years of accepting the position
SOFTWARE / EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE
Microsoft Office, Grading software, Microsoft Outlook.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Master’s Degree in educational technology or curriculum development from an accredited institution.
EXPERIENCE
Three or more years of primary or secondary teaching experience.
SOFTWARE / EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE
Familiarity with Microsoft Office. Familiarity with FACTS student information system. Familiarity with basic network account administration
