TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 month - 260 days
10 month - 210 days
SICK LEAVE: 12 sick days per year, cumulative, no maximum.
Upon retirement from District 100 the Board shall pay $15 per day for unused sick leave exceeding 75 days up to 180 days. Payment shall be $25 per day for days exceeding 180.
PERSONAL DAYS: Three days, except by special arrangement with the superintendent, personal leave must be requested three teacher attendance days in advance of the scheduled day and may not be taken during the first five school days or last five school days of the school year, or on a day preceding or following a holiday or vacation. All three days may be taken without giving a reason, provided the days are not consecutive. Unused personal days shall be added to accumulated sick leave.
BEREAVEMENT DAYS: Three days, unused bereavement days may not accumulate.
VACATION: 12 month – 20 days
TRAVEL: 12 month - $600 per year
10 month - $300 per year
INSURANCE: The Board shall pay full family group hospitalization, medical and dental insurance plan. Included in this plan is a $50,000 life and accidental death or dismemberment policy. Eligible for flex pay in accordance with current district policy.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establishes/fosters a professional learning community.
- Provides supportive counseling for students, teachers, and parents.
- Studies, designs, and recommends educational programs and operational policies to meet the needs of the students.
- Evaluates the general educational achievement of pupils in relation to their learning potential.
- Supervises the implementation of all curricular programs.
- Leads the school community in a continuous effort to improve the educational program including school improvement.
- Resolves faculty and staff interpersonal conflicts in accordance with district policy and in a manner designed to foster cooperation among staff members.
- Conducts meetings of the staff, as necessary, for the proper functioning of the school.
- Recommends to the appropriate administrator the employment, assignment, promotion, and dismissal of all instructional personnel and other school employees.
- Supervises and evaluates of all instructional personnel and other school employees.
- Recommends inservice training programs for all instructional personnel and other school employees.
- Supervises methods of teaching and work performance by certified and non-certified staff.

EVALUATION: Annual by the Superintendent. In addition to criteria established by the Superintendent, the Principal shall be evaluated on instructional leadership and ability to maintain a positive education and learning climate.
