Teacher and Assistant to Dean of Student Activities

Reports To: Dean of Student Activities
This person is responsible for the teaching duties as assigned by the school Principal. Additionally, as the Assistant to the Dean of Student Activities this person will help the Dean to coordinate and organize all school events that are not related to athletics or academics. The Assistant oversees and supports all clubs and club sponsors, while sponsoring various clubs on their own.

Prior teaching experience at the high school level preferred.
Prior coaching or moderating at the high school level preferred (Athletic opportunities available in the following sports: Head Track Coach, Assistant Coach in Baseball, Football, Girls Volleyball, Girls Soccer, or Swimming) or (Academic/Fine Arts opportunities available in the following areas: Academic Support Labs, Robotics, Academic Clubs).
Effective communication skills
Must be cleared through the Virtus Background Check (Done by Bishop Kelley)
Assistant to Dean of Student Services
Assist in managing the Link Crew program by creating and implementing training, assigning groups and leaders, and organizing the application process.
Support the Freshman Class with various programs and systems such as, operating the orientation, assisting with back to school events and creating videos to be shown at events.
Foster a positive environment and fun culture for students by organizing, supporting and operating various events such as dances, fairs, contests and pep rallies.
Ensure successful homecoming events and activities through court elections, event planning and managing.
Support, organize and manage aspects of Class Boards and Student Council including attending meetings, dances, conventions, and assisting with elections.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Monitors student commons or cafeteria after school and at lunch
Teaching classes as assigned by the site Principal.
Requires the kind of teamwork, supervision, and personal interaction that cannot be had during normal business hours, therefore, regular and predictable after hours on-site and off-site attendance is a job requirement.
Lifting up to 40 lbs unassisted
Frequent prolonged standing, sitting, bending, squatting, stooping, and walking.
Manual dexterity for typing, filing

A Diocesan Catholic High School founded in 1960 to serve the Diocese of Tulsa. We are a coed high school for grades 9-12 with an enrollment of 850 students. We are the feeder school for 11 Catholic middle schools.
