St. Thomas More Parish School is located in Lynnwood, WA and is seeking a principal for the 2022-2023 academic school year. St. Thomas More School is a Pre-K through 8th grade with 200 students with a diverse community promoting the Catholic faith and inspiring academic excellence. St. Thomas More continues to receive a six-year accreditation approval from the Western Catholic Educational Association.
We are currently seeking a school principal who is:
- An experienced leader comfortable in his or her Catholic faith and able to make decisions informed by a Catholic worldview and skilled in critical reflection and comfortable making both mission and data-informed decision.
- Fosters equity of educational opportunity and culturally inclusive practices. Enriches our diversity by exposing us to a broad range of ways to understand and engage with the world, identify challenges, and to discover, design and deliver solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to lead and motivate faculty and other team members
- A leader who is driven to move the school forward with an innovative vision that offers a 21st-century education combined with strong foundation skills.
- Assesses and adjusts, creates, and advances a vibrant and collaborative culture of excellence, prioritizing action items to achieve the mission.
- Understands the unique needs of each educational level and leads the school community in delivering the highest quality curriculum for all students
- Experienced with critical areas of school leadership including development, enrollment management, school finances, program development, faculty, and staff support. Demonstrates solid stewardship for short-term financial management and long-term financial planning
- Values, engages, and connects parents, the parish and local community, and other partners in supporting programs and opportunities to maintain and grow the school’s presence and impact.
All candidates must be practicing Catholics and hold a current Washington State Principal Credential (or in progress) or similar credential. Candidates should be able to successfully assume responsibility for the day-to-day operation, administration of the school, and fostering our school community. They should be prepared to work closely with the pastor, the Parish Administrator, Advisory School Commission and school parents as well as working with their fellow principals and the Archdiocesan School Office to ensure the vitality of our school.

Statement of Vaccination Requirement – Condition of Employment
The Governor’s Proclamation 21-14.2 requires all employees of educational institutions (schools) to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless a medical or religious (moral/ethical) exemption is approved. Being fully vaccinated means that an individual is at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. As a condition of employment, newly hired employees will be required to provide proof of their COVID-19 vaccination.
