Rowland Hall's McCarthey Campus seeks a Director of Learning Services to work with the Beginning School and Lower School (PreK-fifth grade) for the 2021-2022 school year. The Director of Learning Services will work with students, families, faculty, and administration to support the academic and overall success of all students, in particular, those students with different learning styles. This person will collaborate with teachers on specific learning strategies, partnering with them in the development of assessment techniques, and motivating them to remain creative and persistent in their efforts to offer the best instructional practices to all students. The ideal candidate is a student-centered, innovative, and collaborative educator with experience supporting students with a range of learning needs, superior communication skills with families and colleagues, a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in education, and deep knowledge of evidence-based best practices that enhance teaching and promote student learning. A master's degree, background in special education, and education specialist experience are preferred. |
