Open position:Central Catholic High School Principal
The Marianist Province of the United States and Central Catholic High School (CCHS) community are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Principal at CCHS. The position is for the 2021-2022 academic year. However, a promising candidate may be hired earlier and invited to a semester-long onboarding process beginning January 2021.
Central Catholic is seeking candidates possessing a proven track record of:
Executing on a vision of academic rigor and academic success for all students, based on high standards;
Practicing collaborative leadership that builds capacity and sustainability;
Managing people, data and processes to foster school improvement;
Creating the conditions for market leadership among college-bound educational programs where collaborative interaction is leveraged and prevails;
Cultivating leadership in others so that teachers and other school leaders assume their parts in realizing the school vision;
Improving instruction to enable teachers to teach at their best and students to learn to their utmost;
Providing leadership in ongoing professional development, innovative curriculum development, and student assessment that yields exceptional results;
Collaborating with other Marianist schools nationwide, Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese, as well as with the Department of Catholic Schools in San Antonio.
Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership (minimum);
Five years administrative experience (minimum);
Thorough understanding of proven practices in teaching and learning;
Experience with Results-Based Leadership or comparable practice;
Exceptional communication and organizational skills and have a proven record of both academic and executive leadership;
Lay Marianist (preferred); or willingness to be formed into a lay Marianist;
Candidate must be a practicing Roman Catholic in communion with the Church.
The candidate for this position must have a passion for Catholic education and be able to create an environment that promotes Catholic identity, faith and moral development of the school community.
