Gold Trail Union School District (GTUSD) invites creative persons with strong educational leadership and managerial abilities to apply for the position of GTUSD Superintendent/Sutter’s Mill Elementary School Principal. The Board of Trustees seeks highly qualified applicants who would like to join a school that has a small community atmosphere among families and staff.
The superintendent serves as executive officer of the Board of Trustees; assists in the development of educational philosophy and determination of District policies; provides overall educational leadership for the District in assessing needs, developing goals and objectives, setting priorities, securing and deploying resources, evaluating programs; focuses attention on the major responsibility of the Gold Trail Union School District -- promoting and encouraging maximum educational opportunities for District students.
The Principal of Sutter’s Mill Elementary School serves as the educational leader and chief executive of the K-3 elementary; is responsible for direction of the instructional program, operation of the school, participates in staff activities, student activities, and community leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited post-secondary institution
- Valid teaching credential with at least five years of teaching experience in grades K-8; including all courses necessary to meet credential requirements.
- Valid California administrative credential.
- Administrative and site management experience required.
- Master’s degree desirable.
Additional Salary Information: The salary will be competitive and comparable based on districts of similar size and scope.
