ELEMENTARY/MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL for 2019-20 SCHOOL YEAR:
Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Parish is a Catholic community in Prescott, Arizona, with a heritage stretching back 140 years. The Parish is vibrant, thriving and deeply involved in the life of the community. Sacred Heart Catholic School is an important part of the Parish. Strengthened by the Father, led by Jesus, and guided by the Holy Spirit, Sacred Heart Catholic School is a community of faith dedicated to teaching the whole child, by providing a Catholic education promoting academic excellence, quality of character, social responsibility, and spiritual growth. Our school is educating more than 160 students from kindergarten through eighth grade. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated principal and Catholic educator who will embrace the challenges and excitement of a long-established school in order to partner with parents and the parish community to educate the whole child.
The candidate must be a practicing, faith-filled Catholic.
The candidate must possess a Master’s degree in Educational Administration or a related field and be able to be state certified as a Principal in Arizona.
The successful candidate will be committed to the values of Catholic education and family, be an excellent promoter of the school, and insist on academic excellence.
The candidate must embrace the mission statement of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Parish, i.e. “Being the living example of God’s love to others.” The candidate must be willing to incorporate the parish mission into the performance of their job responsibilities and must instill the mission in the staff and families that make up the school community.
The candidate must be a collaborative decision maker working with staff, parents and the entire parish community in overseeing every aspect of this ministry for Sacred Heart.
Knowledge of finances, good communication, and well-formed public relations skills are essential.
A progressive and innovative vision of education for the 21st century that includes knowledge of kindergarten through 8th grade academic and catechetical curriculum, special education programs, technology and current teaching methodologies to reach all our students is crucial.
Candidate must understand the professional development needs of teachers.
The candidate must have the ability to relate well with children, parents, teachers, and the community at large, honor the traditions, mission, vision, values and culture of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Parish, and work collaboratively with the Pastor, Parish Manager and School Advisory Board to lead the school positively in its mission.

Salary is negotiable based on experience, education, and credentials. Benefits include employee health insurance, retirement, sick leave, short-term disability, vacation and social security.
