The Associate Director of Annual Giving, Alumni and Corporate Relations is responsible for managing the strategy and donor relation activities for the Lafayette Catholic School System, the annual Spirit Fund, Central Catholic Jr. - Sr. High School alumni relations, and Corporate sponsorships. The position requires a strategic professional who can develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of current and prospective supporters. Tasks include supervising the review of data and preparation of electronic and print marketing materials for social media, web pages, newsletters and direct mail; analyzing giving trends of current and past donors for target segments; identifying and cultivating new supporters with capacity to give at leadership levels; set specific annual goals for fundraising initiatives, including the renewal and upgrading of existing supporters, and identification and acquisition of new ones; managing financial budgets; and monitoring industry trends to make recommendations for enhancements to office practices.
Participate in planning and implementation of overarching annual Spirit Fund strategies, including Day of Giving.
Maintain strong communication links with local parishes and school principals to ensure a coordinated approach to annual Spirit Fund leadership prospects.
Develop letters, brochures, stewardship materials, training materials for volunteers and staff, and other materials needed to support annual Spirit Fund, Alumni and Donor Relation activities.
Collaborate with Database and Stewardship Coordinator to implement stewardship initiatives and data collection for Spirit Fund, Alumni, and Corporate partners.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement donor, alumni and stewardship events.
Staff events as required.
Create and deliver routine and targeted communications to various stakeholders (e.g., newsletters, brochures, annual reports, blog, social media posts).
Assist in maintaining the standards for brand, identity, and logos.
Edit, organize, and manage website communication and design for the Spirit Fund, Alumni, and Corporate Relations.
Consult and direct vendors and contractors for Spirit Fund, Corporate Sponsorship and Alumni Relations.
Act as primary point of contact for alumni and class ambassadors.
Create a communication plan to report to alumni class ambassadors about key events, annual class contributions, and to educate them about the use of their funds and impact of these gifts.
Work with Business Office to create new funds for Alumni Fund projects.
Promote LCSS and its schools in the Greater Lafayette business community.
Assist Director of Advancement on identification of grant opportunities for LCSS.
Collaborate with athletics, fine arts, and school departments to design and implement corporate sponsorship program.
Work with volunteer committees to create and implement a corporate sponsorship solicitation program for Alumni Weekend, LCSS Golf Outing, Multicultural Festival, and Blue Knight Auction.
Bachelor’s degree; 3 - 5 years experience, preferably in non-profit fundraising environment.
Knowledge of marketing and print production highly desirable.
Position requires excellent organization skills, project management skills, and attention to detail.
Proficient with and experience using content management systems and various social media platforms.
Must be self-motivated, and able to work well both independently and cooperatively; proven success working as member of a team.
Position requires a high degree of professionalism, tact and diplomacy, and sensitivity to highly confidential information.
Strong computer skills needed, including word-processing, spreadsheets, and familiarity with complex databases.
Willingness to learn a must.
Occasional evening and weekend work required.
