St. Elizabeth Upper School, with a faculty and staff of more than 40 educators, is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and is a member of the Delaware Association of Independent Schools. St. Elizabeth School is seeking an upper school principal (grades 7-12) who will be committed to sustaining and advancing the future of an established Catholic school in the tradition of St. Benedict. The upper school principal will be a spokesperson and representative of the Benedictine charism in hospitality, prayer, work, and service. As such, this leader should demonstrate spiritual and visionary leadership and serve as an educational leader for students, faculty and parents.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate appropriate interpersonal skills, management skills, effective listening, leadership in the regular use of technology, and be open minded and innovative. Overall, the principal will provide leadership for faith, academics and student life. The Upper School Principal, Lower School Principal and the President will collaborate closely on the mission and vision of the one school.
The successful candidate should meet the following criteria:
Live as a practicing Catholic
Have a minimum of five years teaching or administrative experience in a Catholic School
Be working towards or hold an advanced degree in education or administration
Be eligible for Delaware Certification
