The Board of Education for Proviso Township High School District 209 in Cook County, Illinois announces the commencement of a search for a new principal for Proviso West High School who will assume responsibilities on July 1, 2017. This is an outstanding professional opportunity for an excellent and experienced secondary level administrator. The leader must have a proven record of success to take a diverse community of learners to higher levels of excellence. The next principal will have the honor of leading this legendary high school through collaboration with the entire Proviso West school community and the support of a Board of Education committed to high academic achievement; effective and efficient operations; and student, family, and community engagement.
Proviso West High School was founded in 1958 and is one of the three high schools in Proviso Township High School District 209 located in west suburban Cook County, ten miles from Chicago. Proviso West High School serves the communities of Bellwood, Berkeley, Broadview, Hillside, Northlake, Stone Park and Westchester. It is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges and the Illinois State Board of Education.
