Our Lady of Mercy Catholic High School, a co-educational, college preparatory high school located a short distance south of Atlanta, seeks a visionary principal for the 2017-18 school year. Opened in 2000 and fully accredited through AdvancED district-wide accreditation, Our Lady of Mercy (OLM) serves a diverse student body of approximately 350 students. The principal reports to the Superintendent of Schools.
The principal of OLM is responsible for every facet of the school’s operation and ensures the school’s mission resides at the core of each program. Ideal candidates will have a vision for innovative courses and learning opportunities in which students exercise critical thinking and problem-solving through the lens of faith. Knowledge of curriculum standards, effective instructional strategies, and technology integration is necessary. Applicants must demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to engage all stakeholders in the mission of Catholic education.
Successful candidates are practicing Catholics in good standing with the Catholic Church, possess a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or related area, and have successful experience as a chief administrator in a Catholic school.
