ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL for 2018-19 SCHOOL YEAR:
St. Louis the King Catholic School is a Catholic community in Glendale, Arizona, educating more than 250 students from three-year-old preschool through eighth grade. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated Principal and Catholic educator who will embrace the challenges and excitement of a long-established school in order to partner with parents and the parish community to educate the whole child while helping our students find God in all things through learning, faith and service.
The Candidate must be a practicing, faith-filled Catholic, possess a Master’s degree in Educational Administration or a related field and be able to be state certified as a Principal in Arizona. The successful candidate will be committed to the values of Catholic education and family, be an excellent promoter of the school, and insist on academic excellence. The candidate must be a collaborative decision maker working with staff, parents and the entire parish community in overseeing every aspect of this ministry for St. Louis the King Parish. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred. Knowledge of finances, excellent communication, and well-formed public relation skills are essential. A progressive and innovative vision of education for the 21st century that includes technology and current teaching methodologies to reach our diverse population of students is crucial. The Candidate must understand the professional development needs of teachers, relate well with children, parents, teachers, and the community at large, honor the traditions and culture of St. Louis the King Catholic School, and work collaboratively with the Pastor and School Advisory Council to lead the school positively in its mission.
Additional Salary Information: Salary is negotiable based on experience, education, and credentials. Benefits include employee health insurance, retirement, sick leave, short-term disability, and social security.
