J at School offers Before School, Recess, After School, Schools Out, Adventure Camp and Enrichment programs. Our goal is to stimulate children's minds and bodies through a balanced schedule of physical activities, enriching projects, supervised homework time, and games. J at School programs guide children through values based experiences while having more weekday fun.
The Area Director of J at School is an experienced leader that will execute the daily operations for an assigned program area. In addition, the Area Director will share ideas with the Director regarding budget efficiency and oversight of all J at School programming within the given area. Additional responsibilities include hiring and direct supervision of all full and part-time employees within the operational area.
The Area Director will work with current school principals to ensure J at School continues to exceed expected delivery of quality programming. In this role, the Area Director serves as a leader within JCC Chicago by building strong relationships with agency staff, community leaders and school personnel.
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Management or Business Operations required; Masters Degree preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (includes Excel and Word) with the ability to learn other technology as needed. Experience implementing programs for school-aged children required with at least five to seven years of progressive supervisory experience.
